Cameron Diaz has been talking about retiring from acting for years, but she’s ready to make a comeback.
After eight years, Diaz is finally ready to hit the big screens again. Her last starring roles were in 2014 when she premiered three movies, The Other Woman, Sex Tape, and Annie.
In 2015, she stepped away from the spotlight after marrying Benji Madden. The two welcomed their daughter Raddix in 2019 and have been largely off the grid for nearly a decade.
Jamie Foxx announced she would star in a new Netflix film, Back in Action. The action-comedy will reunite the two stars who last worked together in the 1999 film, Any Given Sunday.
Foxx shared the announcement with a recording of a call between Diaz and himself, where she describes her nervousness and excitement about stepping back into the spotlight.
“I’m so anxious right now,” she began. “I feel excited, but I don’t know how to do this.”
Foxx then added Tom Brady to the call, who calmed her nerves by saying, “I’m relatively successful at unretiring.”
