Chris Rock brought Will Smith’s Oscar slap back up.
While doing a standup show on Thursday at London’s Royal Albert Hall, the comedian joked about the 2022 Academy Awards incident.
“I’m okay, if anybody was wondering,” Rock joked. “Got most of my hearing back.”
He continued, “Don’t expect me to talk about the bulls—. I’ll talk about it at some point… on Netflix.”
He ended the bit with, “Your tickets were expensive, but not that expensive.”
At the Oscars in March, Will Smith walked on stage and slapped Chris Rock across the face after he made a joke about Jada Pinkett Smith’s shaved head.
When Smith returned to his seat, he shouted, “Keep my wife’s name out of your f—ing mouth!”
Smith has since publicly apologized, saying he “reacted emotionally”. The joke struck a chord because a “joke about Jada’s medication condition was too much for me to bear.”
