Kim Kardashian Wins Portion of Blac Chyna’s Defamation Case

Blac Chyna’s defamation and contract-interference case is still underway, but Kim Kardashian just walked away with a partial victory.

On Friday, April 29, Judge Gregory Alarcon threw away the claims against Kim Kardashian, stating that Chyna’s attorney Lynne Ciani did not provide a statement or evidence during the trial that Kim Kardashian was defamatory toward Chyna.

Lynne Ciani argued that Kardashian co-signed defamatory and libelous statements, even if she didn’t directly make false statements against Chyna. But the judge disagreed, stating, “There is no evidence that defendant Kim Kardashian took a ‘responsible part’ in the publication of the alleged statement by the other defendants.”

Chyna was asking for $40 million from that claim alone.

Although Kim Kardashian is off the hook, there are still more matters for the jury to consider when it comes to if the Kardashian-Jenner family intentionally derailed Chyna’s reality show.
