On Thursday, April 21, Kris Jenner took the stand to testify against Blac Chyna in the defamation lawsuit against the family.
Jenner, 66, was questioned on the stand by Chyna’s attorney, Lynne Ciani, during which Kris claimed Chyna, 33, had threatened to kill Kylie Jenner.
“We kept it internal, between the family,” Jenner stated, noting that the police were not informed of the threats. Jenner was asked how often the alleged threats were made, to which Kris replied, “You’d have to ask Kylie.”
The momager said she became aware of the threats from Kylie and former boyfriend Tyga, who shares a 9-year-old son with Chyna. Jenner also testified that Tyga claimed Chyna had committed domestic violence against him.
“There were all kinds of things going on,” she continued. “There was just a lot of drama, which I’m used to in my family.”
When it came to specifics, Kris stated that she “would only know what Tyga and Kylie told” her about the alleged threats.
When it came to Rob Kardashian and Blac Chyna’s relationship, the mother of six said she hoped for a “happy ending.” The two began dating in 2016 and welcomed their daughter the same year before breaking it off in 2017.
“They were working on past mistakes,” Kris said on the stand. “And we hoped for the best and for them to change, but it didn’t. I was trying to be a mentor to her.”
In October 2017, Chyna filed a $100 million civil suit against Rob Kardashian, accusing him of assault, battery, and harassment. Furthermore, she alleged that the Kardashian-Jenner family “became media predators” and intentionally canceled her “hit television show,” Rob & Chyna, for “revenge.” The family tried to get the lawsuit dismissed but were unsuccessful in their pursuit. Now several of the family members have appeared in court as witnesses.
