Female celebrities have now come to the forefront of the cryptocurrency and NFT space. Actresses Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Mila Kunis spread a powerful message for women to embrace Crypto.
They are calling for their female audiences to do their research and invest, saying the market is currently a boy’s club.
Recently, Paltrow spoke at the BFF virtual event, a cryptocurrency social community for women and nonbinary people, where she told over 5000 live viewers, “We have watched a lot of these bros get together and earn a lot of money. We deserve to be in the space just as much.”
Women currently make up less than a third of total crypto investors, where a total asset value is more than $2 trillion dollars.
Reese Witherspoon said in a recent tweet, “Crypto is here to stay. I’m committed to supporting creators who have pioneered the NFT space, and encouraging more women to be a part of the conversation.”
Although Gwyneth Paltrow, Reese Witherspoon, and Mila Kunis are not paid spokeswomen for BFF, or any crypto brand, they have business ventures in the NFT and crypto space.
BFF was founded in 2022 by Brit Morin of Brit + CO and Jaime Schmidt of Schmidt’s Naturals. Other celebrities have joined the movement, including model Tyra Banks and fashion designer Rebecca Minkoff.
The women say that crypto can improve gender imbalances and shape the future of the internet. Women looking to get involved can join BFF for free. The project is funded by the two entrepreneurs who will be issuing their own NFTs.
