Adam Samson of Financial Times interviewed Changpeng Zhao, the founder and CEO of Binance.
One of the first things Zhao revealed was the truth of how crypto ads are affecting crypto adoption.
Zhao said, “Most of the users who watch Superbowl are going to be first-time users seeing Bitcoin. What we see, typically, is it takes a while to convert what we call an average user who has not touched crypto into a crypto trader. The conversion rate is usually quite low to be honest. Most guys who watch the Superbowl are not stock traders. So when they come into crypto, they don’t automatically become crypto traders. So there’s a two-stage conversion process, and the conversion won’t be that high in the short term. But hopefully, the Superbowl ads get the awareness of the regular people into crypto, and hopefully, in the future, they’ll convert.”
