Dubai’s Emirates Airlines To Accept Bitcoin And Incorporate Metaverse Into Flights

Emirate Airlines is completely integrating with the blockchain, metaverse, and cryptocurrencies.

The premier airline company announced its plan to accept Bitcoin as a payment option when flying. Chief Operating Officer Adel Ahmed Al-Redha also said they are incorporating NFTs and the metaverse into their flights.

“NFTs and metaverse are two different applications and approaches. With the metaverse, you will be able to transform your whole processes whether it is in operation, training, sales on the website, or complete experience — into a metaverse type application, but more importantly, making it interactive,” he said.

Al-Redha confirmed that along with Bitcoin coming to the forefront of their payments, NFTs would also be available for trading on the company’s website.

The UAE is currently in the third spot for the highest volume of crypto traded ($25 billion) in the Middle East after Lebanon ($26 billion) and Turkey ($132.4 billion).
