Football Star Paul Pogba Partners With Wahed For $50 Million Series B Funding

International football star Paul Pogba partnered up with Saudi Aramco’s Entrepreneurship Centre to lead a $50 million Series B funding for New York-based fintech company Wahed.

Pogba also came on board as a brand ambassador for Wahed’s ethical investment platform Wahed Invest.

“The rapid popularisation of fintech solutions and their influence in advancing financial literacy and inclusion worldwide have created the right urgency for fintech products that are both ethical and easily accessible for individual investors,” Fahad Alidi, director of Wahed, said.

Wahed allows individuals to invest and manage their money ethically and efficiently. The company, which has gained global support, has over 300,000 clients worldwide.

Alidi continued, “Fintech leaders like Wahed acknowledge the role they play within such a globally crucial context, and it is their ambition to realize that vision that makes us proud to partner with the pioneering team as they work to unlock the digital potential of the financial industry in the region.”
