On Monday, GameStop announced its new crypto and NFT wallet as its entrance into the world of blockchain.
According to the press release, the wallet will operate on the Ethereum network and allow users to store, send, and receive cryptocurrencies and NFTs, including in-game assets, without leaving their web browsers.
The wallet can be downloaded on the Chrome Web Store and will enable transactions on GameStop’s NFT marketplace, which is expected to launch sometime in July. In January, GameStop partnered with Immutable X to create the NFT marketplace.
Since the announcement, GameStop shares have gone up 2.67%, making the stock $98.21 on the New York Stock Exchange.
