Kanye West Files For Blockchain-Based Trademark

On May 27, Kanye West filed trademarks suggesting he may launch some YEEZUS NFTs.

In the past, he has criticized digital assets. In January, he shared an Instagram post, “Do not ask me to do a fucking NFT.” Then in February, he stated, “building real products in the real world.”

Despite that, West’s Mascotte Holdings Inc. has now filed 17 trademark applications in total. His recent trademark application was for “blockchain-based non-fungible assets,” “online retail store services featuring… digital art,” “metaverse experiences,” and “providing an online marketplace for buyers of crypto and/digital collectibles, currencies, tokens, and assets.”

The applications were all under the umbrella of the YEEZUS brand.
