Beauty Influencer and Celebrity Makeup Artist AJ Crimson Dies at Age 27

Beauty influencer and celebrity makeup mogul AJ Crimson has passed away at the age of 27 on March 30.

AJ Crimson was a pioneer in his field with many high-profile clients, including Fergie, Hilary Duff, Christina Milian, Keyshia Cole, Missy Elliott, Angela Bassett, Raven-Symoné, and Regina King.

According to a statement from his family, “AJ Crimson was a makeup industry leader that set a standard of beauty that was elevated, beautiful, and accessible to people of all color. We as a family are heartbroken and devastated by his passing, but thankful for the lessons that he laid on each of us with his truth, directness, and leadership.”

The Detroit native had amassed an Instagram following of 110,000 followers, and fans are heartbroken after hearing the news.

His family thanked fans for their support during this difficult time, saying he was an “inspiration to us as much as he was a bright light to the rest of the world. There are no words that can sum up his whole. Until we meet again!”

The makeup world is also heartbroken that they lost one of their own.

Christina Milian went to Instagram to mourn her loss, “My dear AJ.. I’m going to miss you. The fact that I won’t be able to see your beautiful smile or feel your aura of positive energy walk into a room breaks my heart. You made your own lane… You did it with love and intention. Most especially to show the true beauty of minority women everywhere.”

The Makeup Show posted, “@ajcrimson you made this makeup family, industry and world a better place with your talent and authenticity. It will never be the same.”

Details about Crimson’s death have not been officially confirmed or released to the public.
