TikTok influencer, Remi Bader, has called out a Hamptons ranch for asking her to leave for “weighing too much.”
Bader was on a press trip for Jon Bon Voji’s rosé Hampton Water when she decided to head to a ranch to go horseback riding. She shared several videos on social media detailing the incident.
One video claimed Deep Hollow Ranch turned her away “because she weighed over 240.” What makes it worse, the ranch owner’s son, Brody Keogh, also took to social media to call her a “fat b–ch,” saying, “when you’re not a fat b–ch, you can ride at Deep Hollow Ranch.”
He has since deleted the video, but Remi re-shared it on her account, saying, “Imagine this being Deep Hollow Ranch’s response to your experience.”
Remi took to Instagram to make it clear her intention was not to hurt a small business.
“I posted for a reason and that’s not because of me being denied to ride the horses. I get it, some places have weight requirements, and I’d never want to hurt the horses, but it was the way I was spoken [to] and laughed at by the owner and the way I was treated overall.”
Deep Hollow Ranch responded to the criticism in a Facebook post, saying,
“a teenage employee posted a response that in no way represents nor is aligned with the views that the owners of the ranch hold. We would like to apologize to anyone who this offended and we do not condone or agree with any part of that employee’s video.”
