TikTok star Tayler Holder began releasing music earlier this year with his debut song ‘Human.’ His newest release is a track titled ‘Another Round’ as a collaboration with country singer Reyna Roberts.
“We’re headed more into middle America,” he said. “We’re headed more into the country wave. I’ve known Reyna since I was like 16 years old, so it’s been seven or eight years. She has this amazing song called ‘Another Round.’ She already dropped it, actually, but we ended up doing another version together.”
During an interview, he opened up about the inspiration for the song.
“This year didn’t start off in the most ideal way. I was going through relationship problems, breakups, family issues, and it didn’t really have anything to do with the song, but I lost my best friend. I was just at my all time low,” he said.
Adding, “[This song] was just to let people know that there’s so many people who are also lonely, sad, and depressed. People hold us to high standards because we have this platform, and we have this image that we’re supposed to carry on. It’s just letting people know that I’m human just like everyone else. I make mistakes, I mess up, I fall, I’m broken just like everybody else.”
“There are a lot of people that look up to us and want what we have. It just lets them know it’s really not as great as it seems. It’s not cool. There’s money with it, and there’s followers and fame with it, but what is that at the end of the day if you’re losing yourself trying to find something you thought was so great? It’s a lot lonelier than you would think.”
