After Floyd Mayweather and Logan Paul dueled in the ring in June of 2021, their despise for each other has been a public debacle. Paul, who claims he still has not been paid for the fight, is owed around $5 million leading him to call Mayweather “broke” and threaten to take him to court.
Mayweather is coming forward to set the record straight. During his induction into the International Boxing Hall of Fame, Mayweather said, “I will continue to give back to the sport of boxing in my time, and I will also give back financially because I got it.”
“To my team, my guys in New York, and my other real estate team that’s here today, we can’t be stopped. In 32 months, I put myself in a position with a smart business team to make $300m a month. It all started from the sport of boxing.”
Mayweather, who reportedly has $1 billion in career earnings, has invested in several businesses, but there’s no way to verify his claims of $300 million per month. If his claims are correct, Paul is left wondering why he hasn’t been paid
