Joey Votto Deletes Strange Doja Cat TikTok After Receiving Backlash

Joey Votto is new to the world of social media, and he’s already facing backlash from a recent TikTok.

The Cincinnati Reds’ first baseman went to TikTok to post a video of himself dressed up as Ron Weasley while doing a duet dance with Doja Cat. Doja Cat was also dressed in a Harry Potter-type outfit.

People had mixed feelings about his video, some thinking it was funny while others thought it was cringe-worthy.

Former MLBer and current NESN Red Sox analyst Will Middlebrooks commented on the video, tweeting, “Trying to get traded. Do you blame him?”

The unfavorable feedback seemed to impact Votto, as he deleted the video shortly after.

Votto, 38, is in his 16th MLB season with the Cincinnati Reds and has 331 career home runs.

Doja Cat, 26, is a singer and rapper who just won Best Pop Duo Performance at the Grammy Awards for her song “Kiss Me More,” featuring SZA.
